Remember Running Bear out passed Lamar on hey 35. they had the best burgers and the chicken fried steak covered the whole plate and the fries had to go on another plate.
My father loved taking me to the running bear for a burger as we traveled through the area. I fondly remember that they were really pretty darn awesome burgers. That was back in 1982-1983 time period. He passed around 1985 but left me with the fond memories of some really cool places.
That was the best place! I remember going there when we first moved to Rockport. Broke my heart when they closed down! Thanks for the memories! :)
