OK, one more and then I am out...maybe: Does anyone remember Harriet from JC's? I had a husky dog named Atlas...and he was the great escape artist...he never meant anyone any harm, he just liked to go visiting...well, Harriet had to call me, more than one time, to let me know that Atlas was at her house and he wanted to visit with her goats, not to eat them but to Romance them, hahaha, so, I wou...ld go and pick him up...but that is the way people are in Rockport...it was never a "come get your stupid dog" call, always just a humorous: "He's here again" call...he loved her goats...he would visit with Melanie Landrum Kleypas too, when she lived in West Terrace...and one time, daddy and Vernon were sitting in the front yard, when here comes Atlas to say hello to them, he did this quite often too, went to visit with daddy and vernon, but what was so funny about this particular time, he dragged two of the local police office up into the yard as well, they had seen him and were trying to snag him, but he just kept right on going, he had his destination in mind, and they could follow by golly, but they weren't about to stop him!
